Hello and Welcome Home!
As many may know, I moved my family halfway across the country. It was a leap, a huge leap, of faith.
One of the special things about this trip was the fact that we drove all the way with our three toddlers. I know, I know, it seems illogical to believe that, I mean the trip was 3 days worth of diving, stopping, hotel staying, screaming, sleeping, and so many other things.
The reality is that it was a special time for our family. The kids did way better than expected there are many pictures I could share, but I'll hold off for now. For now here is the recap of Day One.
-----
Today we embarked on our journey across the country. For the most part, it went pretty well. However, there were points of frustration. There always are for almost everyone.
It's part of the journey!
During those frustrating moments 'suggestions' were voiced and while it may seem as if those frustrations are hurtful, the reality is they aren't. They are meant to be helpful. It may be one of those things that you really just don't want to deal with when your driving across the country but dealing with those moments for me usually lead to some crazy spiritual revelation.
This trip was no different, families are always going to have moments of frustration, as I said it's part of the journey. The lesson learned is one about accepting criticism. When people respond by reviewing our work or my trying to teach us something it may seem one way at first, but the truth is, they are really just trying to help us improve our experiences.
We can let life's frustrations get the best of us!
Why not accept criticism as it comes, take the grain of truth, however big it may be, accept it and move on to better things.
Times of refreshing come by HIS Hands,
M.E.
